Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed production of Les Misérables, based on Victor Hugo’s 1862 historical novel, was originally adapted for the London stage in 1985.
More than 30 years later, his production has returned to the Australian stage. Set against the backdrop of 19th century revolutionary France, it is a story of heartbreak, passion and the resilience of the human spirit. The musical, with songs such as I Dreamed a Dream and One More Day, has been seen by over 70 million people and won over 125 awards.
