Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation receive generous cash boost from Hamilton Grammar

A Lanarkshire children’s charity received a cash boost courtesy of Hamilton Grammar.

Pupils at the school presented Angela Cook, from the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation, with a cheque for £1265.

The money was raised from a variety of fundraising ventures, following the announcement of their partnership with the charity in November of last year.

Head teacher Graeme Sives said: “We are delighted to announce that the partnership between the charity and the school will continue this coming school year.

“Well done to everyone involved in the fundraising ventures to date.”

The Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation, which is run out of a base in Wishaw, became an official charity in 2014.

Since then Les has worked tirelessly to help bring happiness to the lives of youngsters with life-limiting illnesses.

The charity make dreams come true for sick kids and their siblings, by arranging meets and greets with their favourite celebrities and taking them on fun trips to their desired places.

Les was awarded an MBE in 2013 for services to charity.
