Les Dennis denies swearing at two-year-old child after mistaken identity Twitter claim

Les Dennis has gone viral on Twitter after being forced to deny swearing at a two-year-old child.

On Twitter, an irate father messaged the former Family Fortunes host, saying: “Met @LesDennis in the Brewers Fayre in Warrington. What a disappointment!!!! Refused to have a picture with me and swore at my 2 year old son.”

Responding to the accusation, Dennis said: “No you didn’t. I am at home and have been all day. Don’t lie.”

Dennis’ denial went viral on the social media website, with people coming up with their own outlandish stories of meeting Dennis in public.

Comedian David Baddeil even claimed that Dennis was responsible for the coronavirus outbreak.

The matter was eventually settled, with the original accuser conceding it was indeed a case of mistaken identity.

Dennis thanked him for his “dignified” response, and commented that he had come to see the funny side of the whole incident.

It’s not the first time Dennis has had to deny some strange accusations.

In 2018, the TV personality came out and dismissed suggestions he was behind a spate of “Les Dennis” graffiti tags that were spotted around Norwich.
