Leroy Fer fires Rangers warning as Feyenoord star tells Ibrox players they'll wilt in De Kuip noise

Leroy Fer has told Rangers players they will struggle with the atmosphere at De Kuip - just like Porto stars did.

Feyenoord put themsleves back in contention in the Europa League, following their opening day defeat at Ibrox, after an impressive 2-0 home win against Porto.

Rangers have to travel to Rotterdam for the penultimate game in the group and former Swansea City midfielder Fer reckons Porto won't be the only team unable to cope with the special atmosphere of the ground.

He said: "What won us the game ws the fans and the atmosphere inside De Kuip. When you see the stadium jumping like that, no one can cope with it.

"We still have Rangers and Young Boys to come here and it will be the same. It gives us a massive advantage as you saw against Porto.

"Yes, Porto had a few chances, but we were clinical and that win has put us back in with a chance of qualifying."

And Feyenoord star Steven Berghuis believes that result will send shock waves throughout Europe.

He pointed out: "I don't think many people were expecting Feyenoord to beat Porto.

"Porto are a team who have quality players in their squad. So we knew if we weren't on top of our game we would be punished.

"We can't deny we got a bit of luck, but we were so determined to get a good result after our disappointing performance againsr Rangers and I hope we have made it up to the fans now.
