Leonardo DiCaprio delighted fans at the 2026 Oscars by debuting an Old Hollywood-inspired moustache and bringing his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti as his plus one.
The actor, 51, was first linked to the Italian model, 27, in the summer of 2023, and their relationship has been going from strength to strength ever since.
The couple did not walk the red carpet together, although Ceretti was seen sitting beside her partner in the audience at the 98th Academy Awards on Sunday night.
The last time DiCaprio brought a girlfriend to the Oscars was in 2020 when he attended alongside his then partner, actor Camila Morrone.
The star - who lost out in the best actor category for One Battle After Another - also switched up his image at the Hollywood ceremony by showcasing a full moustache.
It is thought to be for a role in Martin Scorsese’s gothic psychological horror What Happens at Night, which he is currently filming alongside Jennifer Lawrence.
Fans praised the new look, comparing him to Friends actor Tom Selleck, 81, who is famous for his trademark bushy moustache.
“Looks so much like Tom Selleck here,” one wrote on social media, while another added: “It’s giving old Hollywood.”
“Handsome,” a third fan remarked. Someone else quipped that DiCaprio was taking facial hair tips from fellow actor Pedro Pascal.
“Who let Leo steal Pedro's mustache?” they joked.
While DiCaprio lost out on best actor on the night, his film One Battle After Another won six gongs.

DiCaprio sought solace in girlfriend Ceretti, who has been by his side at several public appearances in recent months.
Last year, she accompanied him to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice, and in May they attended the Met Gala together.
She told Vogue France that being defined as “girlfriend of” could be frustrating, but insisted: “If you know you love each other, then there’s no reason to be alarmed. Love protects and gives confidence.”
In September, sources told the Standard that their relationship is the most serious he’s had in years.
“She’s met all his important friends, she’s been there at the big moments, and yes, they’ve talked about a family,” one insider said.
“For someone who was famously committed to bachelorhood, it’s not something he’s dismissing anymore.”
