Leonard Fournette fined after pleading no contest to driving with suspended license

Leonard Fournette won’t have to serve any time behind bars after pleading no contest to driving on a suspended license. Instead, he’ll just have to pay the city of Jacksonville $303 for fines and court fees, while his speeding and illegal tint charges were dismissed.

Fournette was arrested last month in Neptune Beach (eastern Jacksonville) after he was clocked going 37 mph in a 25 mph zone, per TMZ Sports. Upon pulling him over, police realized he was driving on a suspended license and had a warrant out for his arrest for previous traffic violations. He was booked at Duval County Jail and released after paying $1,508 bond.

The incident wasn’t severe enough for the Jags to discipline Fournette, which they announced shortly after the arrest. That means they young tailback can now focus on improving upon his injury-racked 2018 season with offseason team activities starting today. In eight games last season, Fournette had 133 carries for 439 yards and five touchdowns.
