Leonard Floyd could be an edge-rushing option for the Eagles after being released by the Bears

The Eagles have a need for pass rushers along the defensive front and a former first-round pick is available and could be a valuable addition.

According to Adam Schefter, former first-round Leonard Floyd has been released by the Chicago Bears before his fifth-year option becomes guaranteed.

Floyd is scheduled to be released after the Bears agreed to a deal with Robert Quinn.

Floyd racked up 154 tackles, 18.5 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries during his four-years in Chicago.

A star pass rusher coming out of Georgia, Floyd is strong off the edge and has the explosiveness many teams are looking for including the Eagles.
