Leona Maguire is chasing a €1.32m payday after a third-round 66 propelled her into contention at the CME Group Tour Championship in Florida.
The biggest prize in women's golf is on offer at Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, and the Cavan golfer at 12-under-par is just two shots behind a lead shared by world number one Nelly Korda, world number two Jin Young Ko, Frenchwoman Celine Boutier and Japan's Nasa Hataoka.
Maguire, 26, is chasing her first win on the LPGA Tour after starring for Europe in their Solheim Cup victory over America in September.
Four birdies on her front nine saw Maguire make the turn in just 32 strokes on Saturday. She then birdied the 10th hole before parring in until a final birdie on the last.
"There is a lot of great golfers ahead of me on the leaderboard, and around me, so it's going to take another low one," Maguire said after her bogey-free 66.
"It was windy; it was gusty. I had to stay really patient, and I feel like we did a pretty good job sort of judging the wind, picking our targets, and executed pretty well."
Maguire got herself into contention at last week's Pelican Women's Championship before a final round 75 saw her plummet down the leaderboard. But she feels confident about the state of her game.
"I didn't finish the last round off as well as I would've liked, but I know my game is in good shape and just need to hole a few putts.
"I didn't hole any yesterday, but a few more dropped today, so, yeah, one more good round tomorrow to finish off the season hopefully."
