The Irishwoman, starting on the back nine, had five birdies before the turn to sit on twelve under through 27 holes.
She carded bogeys on the first and second, but recovered with another three birdies and an eagle to finish the round in eight-under 64 and 15 under for the tournament.
Su Oh is next best on 12 under, while Lindy Duncan is third a shot further back.
Joint overnight leader Charley Hull could not match her Thursday form, signing for a 70 to sit tied for ninth on nine under in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
