Leon now delivers essential food boxes to your door and all profits go to the NHS

As major fast food restaurants in the UK are now closed due to coronavirus, many people will be missing the food from their favourite lunch time location.

Thankfully, Leon has launched a new online delivery service of essential food boxes and ready meals - and all profits go to the NHS.

The organic food chain has temporarily closed its stores amid the Covid-19 outbreak, but you can now have its delicious food delivered to your door.

The 'Feed Britain' online delivery service is sure to come in handy for those who can't leave the house or find what they need at their local supermarket during the ongoing crisis.

There are four different boxes to choose from, including an option with fruit and vegetables, along with one containing two ready meals.

The service is so far only available within the M25 - but Leon is set to expand to other parts of the UK within the next few weeks.

Prices start from £22.50 and there's also a delivery fee of £4.95.

Once you've placed your order on the Feed Britain website, it should arrive within four to seven days.

All of the profits made by Feed Britain will be donated to FeedNHS, which provides one hot meal a day to healthcare staff.

John Vincent, founder and chief executive at Leon said: "We’ve created Feed Britain to connect people directly to the suppliers who traditionally provided food and ingredients to restaurants.

"There are many suppliers who no longer have restaurants to sell their produce to.

"And at the same time people stuck at home are finding long delays on their supermarket home deliveries.

“By working closely with British food producers, farmers and wholesalers who no longer have restaurants to sell to, we are able to help them avoid the threat of closure and give people at home access to quality produce."
