Leon King has joined Ayr United on a season-long loan from Rangers.
The central defender, 21, was unlikely to get game time at Ibrox this season with John Souttar, Nasser Djiga, Emmanuel Fernandez and Derek Cornelius competing for a spot in the team.
He will instead ply his trade in the Championship for the campaign, after playing 10 games for Queen's Park in the same division last season.
The loan move has been confirmed this morning.
A Rangers statement said: We can today confirm defender Leon King has joined Ayr United on-loan until the end of the season. He heads to Ayr for the season with the best wishes of everyone at Rangers."
Ayr said: "The Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender, Leon King on loan from Rangers until the end of the season, subject to SFA approval. Welcome to the Honest Men, Leon."
