Rangers defender Leon Balogun has been slammed in the Nigerian press after the embarrassing World Cup qualifying defeat to Central African Republic.
It was a costly last-minute error from the Ibrox man that allowed the 124th ranked nation in the world to net the only goal of the game.
The centre-back headed a clearance in the 89th minute to the feet of CAR attacker Karl Namganda, who slotted home with virtually the last kick of the game.
It's the first time Nigeria have lost a World Cup qualifier at home in 25 years and the 33-year-old has been handed some scathing reviews.
Pulse took aim at the costly error, insisting the Rangers man "didn't have much to do all game but got caught up when it mattered.
"He and Troost-Ekong failed to deal with a ball that fell to Namnganda, who scored the winning goal."
All Nigeria Soccer stated in their player ratings that "the Rangers central defender had poor communication with his defensive partner, William Troost Ekong."
They rated him a quite brutal 4/10.
Nigerian outlet Punch added: "This is CAR's biggest ever win and arguably Nigeria's most embarrassing loss. What a story!
"The mistakes form the defenders proved costly."
Rangers teammate Joe Aribo also started the game, while Calvin Bassey will have to wait on his debut after his first call-up.
Manager Gernot Rohr defended the performance of Aribo, admitting he had to play him out of position as a deep-lying midfielder due to mounting injury problems.
He said post-match: "We miss the creativity of Alex Iwobi, we missed him so much, Ndidi, so the midfield has been built for the first time like we did today.
"It was not easy for Onyeka, for Aribo, also the first time Awoniyi to come in this team so they need time.
"But I think the spirit of the team is still there, the fighting spirit, and I hope that in the next game we'll be a little bit more lucky than today".
