Leo Varadkar gives cheeky hint as to who he's backing in Euro 2020 final

Leo Varadkar has given a not-so-subtle hint as to who he's backing in Sunday's Euro 2020 final between Italy and England.

The Three Lions reached the decider last night after a win over Denmark in extra-time, and a supportive tweet from Simon Coveney.

But the leader of his party appears to have gone the other way.

Leo tweeted a picture of himself enjoying a nice cup of coffee on Thursday afternoon - which wasn't all too strange.

It was the caption that's the kicker.

He wrote "Enjoying a delicious cup of Italian coffee at the Il Fornaio Italian cafe on Dawson Street. It’s like Little Italy here"

He isn't the only one that will be saying 'Forza Azzurri' on Sunday evening though.

An Irish YouTuber bet €1,000 on Italy to win Euro 2020 and even got a 'winners' tattoo on his back to show his commitment.

Content creator 'Mad Yock' from Co Donegal posted a video of the stunt on his YouTube channel ahead of the knockout stages of the tournament.

Mad Yock's huge bet and tattoo was inspired by Australian social media creators who did a similar stunt for the 2018 World Cup.

The Donegal man scribbled prices ranging between €100 and €10,000 on 12 different ping pong balls before placing them in a bingo drum.

The YouTuber placed the name of all the countries in the last 16 on the bottom of beer pong cups and placed them on a table at random.

He then pulled out the €1,000 ball before launching it towards the table when it bounced into the Italian cup.

Donning his Italian football gear, Mad Yock rushed to the bookmakers and put on his bet where it was revealed he would win €6,500 if Italy were crowned champions.
