Leo Varadkar has reportedly been forced to move house over "credible" death threats.
It emerged in recent weeks that the Tanaiste has seen his security team increased after receiving several menacing messages, which are understood to have been taken "extremely seriously" by gardai.
It is the role of the Special Detective Unit to provide armed protection to Mr Varadkar.
Normally, the Tanaiste has an armed garda driver, but his detail has been ramped up on a 24-hour basis.
It is now understood that after receiving more messages, he and his partner Matt Barrett have been forced to leave their home in Castleknock.

Some of the threats are of a homophobic nature, while others are from far-right extremists, including anti-lockdown supporters, according to the Irish Independent.
It is understood that several people believed to be behind the threats have been identified as having potential to cause harm to Mr Varadkar.
Elsewhere, the PSNI had reportedly been in tough with gardai over threats from loyalist paramilitary groups against Mr Varadkar, Taoiseach Micheal Martin and Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney.
It is understood that such threats are related to fallouts over Brexit.
