A Balloch man looking to trace friends he hasn’t seen for over 50 years has been reunited – after contacting the Lennox Herald for help.
John Harkins, 70, got in touch with us last month to try and get back in contact with Davina Wilkinson and Jim Price, two popular members of the local entertainment scene in the 60s and 70s.
And Davina was quick to contact the Lennox to arrange a meet-up with Jim, who moved to London back in the 70s.
Speaking after the long-awaited reunion, John said: “It was good, we had a couple of hours together and it was nice to see her again and speak about the past.”
John also managed to get a response from Jim Price’s widow, Eileen, who herself now lives down south — and is in the process of planning to catch up with her at a later date.
