Neil Lennon has been backed to make more 'shock' signings for Dunfermline after securing the services of Victor Wanyama.
The former Celtic and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder joined the Scottish Championship outfit on a deal until the end of the season.
And Wanyama may not be the sole surprising arrival at East End Park over the next few weeks, with Marvin Bartley suggesting that there may be more where the Kenyan came from: "It's a massive signing," he said on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard.

"It's just the experience that he'll add in there. I've watched Dunfermline a couple of times, and they've got so many young players that whenever they concede, they just seem to crumble.
"Neil Lennon on the side will be manager, and Victor will be on the pitch trying to do the same thing.
"I don't think he'll be the only signing they'll make as well. By all accounts, I think there's going to be a couple more going in on free transfers that will shock people."
Dunfermline currently sit second-bottom in the Scottish Championship. Lennon's first game at the helm comes this weekend against Scott Brown's promotion-chasing Ayr United.
It remains to be seen whether Wanyama will make his Pars bow on Saturday, although when he eventually does, former Celtic striker Simon Donnelly has backed him to stand out in the second tier: "He should be head and shoulders above everyone else in that league," he said.
"It's a big bit of experience coming in as well."
The 33-year-old last turned out for CF Montreal in the MLS.
