Lena Dunham joins Latitude festival line-up as part of Talk Art podcast

There’s been a surprising last-minute addition to the Latitude line-up: Lena Dunham.

The American writer, director and actress, who is currently in the UK to direct a new banking-themed HBO series, will be taking a break from the set to appear as a guest on a live recording of the Talk Art podcast.

Dunham is best known as the creator, writer and star of the hit show Girls, but in recent times she has made forays into the art world.

The daughter of two contemporary artists, she debuted a collection of watercolours at a New Orleans exhibition earlier this year. Before that, she announced herself as “a passionate watercolour hobbyist” with a post on Instagram.

Dunham will appear at the Suffolk festival at 7.10pm on Sunday at the Speakeasy area. She will be chatting with hosts Russell Tovey and Robert Diament, alongside another newly added guest, Deborah Francis White, who helms the Guilty Feminist podcast.

Latitude is already underway, running from July 18-21 in Henham Park.

George Ezra, Stereophonics and Lana Del Rey will headline the musical side of the festival, although there’s plenty else to get stuck into — from live theatre performances to stand-up paddleboarding. Check out our festival guide here.
