Leith Victoria Swim Centre on Bonnington Road was this afternoon evacuated with fire crews arriving on the scene.
Crowds of people were gathered outside the facility with one fire appliance arriving shortly before 12pm. It is currently unclear what caused the evacuation.
Edinburgh Live reported last month that the swimming pool was closing for six months while refurbishment works are carried out. The gym, cycle studio, and studio one are remaining open, however.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed to Edinburgh Live at around 12.45pm that this had been a false alarm and crews would be leaving the scene shortly.
