Luke McGrath says a lack of cohesion caused by chopping and changing in recent weeks won't affect Leinster at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday.
McGrath is under no illusions what's required at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday - just Leinster's best performance of the season.
The scrum-half returned from injury to play his part in the Blues' quarter-final win over Ulster, but everyone at Leinster realises that performance will be nowhere near good enough against Toulouse.
“It was hugely challenging against Ulster," he said. "I thought Ulster were brilliant.
"They put us under a lot of pressure and I’d like to think we learned a lot from that game - and can implement a better game plan this weekend.
“We definitely have a big performance in us but our cohesion hasn’t been great over the last weeks.
"You can say that’s from changing the teams but that’s why the training week this week is huge - just to get cohesion up to scratch.
"We need to put in our biggest performance of the year if we want to win.”
There has been concern over Leinster's inability to hit the heights of the double-winning season just gone but they waltzed into the PRO14 semis and are on the verge of another European final.
For McGrath, the key is producing the right performance after the chopping and changing in team selection since that Ulster game.
"It's a little similar to how last year ran," suggested McGrath.
"There's been a huge amount of changes but we can't use that excuse after Sunday.
"We watched Toulouse v Clermont (last weekend) - they're absolutely lethal, it looked like Clermont had that game won, but they played right to the 80th minute and scored a great try.
"We're under no illusions as to the challenge that awaits us.
"It's going to be a huge occasion, there's going to be a massive amount of work required - the last few games haven't gone the way we wanted them."
The sides met twice in the pool stages and are level with one home win apiece.
McGrath acknowledged: "It's a funny one, we're well used to playing teams twice but not a third one, the two games were probably a little bit different.
"The first one we didn't really have much respect for the ball and they pounced on the opportunities, they've got an incredibly flair in the team, they're constantly offloading it's so hard to defend.
"I thought our best defensive performance was the one in the RDS, where they only scored one try - so we're going to need another performance like that.
"Toulouse have improved as well. That quarter-final in Racing was incredibly impressive - they're a class outfit. So it's going to be a great challenge".
