Leinster's PRO14 clash with Scarlets postponed due to Covid-19 cases

Leinster's Guinness PRO14 clash with Scarlets has been postponed after a small number of the Welsh side's players tested positive for coronavirus.

The game had been due to take place this Sunday at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli. However, a PRO14 statement confirmed that the game is now off.

Ulster beat Scarlets 26-24 last Sunday and are set to find out Covid test results ahead of a Monday night fixture against Edinburgh.

The game is set to be rescheduled for early 2021.

It read: "The game was due to take place on Sunday, November 29 in Llanelli, however, a small number of Scarlets players have returned positive cases of Covid-19 and others identified as close contacts are now isolating.

"Having considered all of the available evidence, the PRO14 Rugby Medical Advisory Group has deemed that this fixture cannot go ahead as scheduled.

"Ulster Rugby, who played against Scarlets on Sunday, carried out routine squad testing today and will receive their results in the next 24 hours.

"PRO14 Rugby will examine potential dates in early 2021 to reschedule the game."
