Leinster's out of contract players still have to decide on whether to join another club or to retire in the coming weeks and months.
Rob Kearney, Devin Toner and Joe Tomane are the highest profile Blues players who will be out of contract in June, and Kearney has already revealed he was in talks with foreign clubs before the Covid-19 pandemic shut rugby down.
"There’s going to be a good chunk of players that still haven’t got themselves sorted with contracts for next season so to speak and we’ll just have to wait and see what that looks like," admitted Leinster head coach Leo Cullen.
"But the players are open, they’re very understanding. We don’t have as much change as many other teams. We don’t have players coming in.
"We’re a very settled group for the most part. A lot of younger players will get promoted from the academy and as is the case every year there are going to be a few players who retire at the end of the season.
“It is clearly complicated because we don’t know what the end of the season is going to look like.
"But the players are open to different suggestions but until we know more information we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it."
Cullen admitted: “Ultimately the players are going to have to decide more often than not what they are going to do, and there’s going to be a number of factors that will pay into that.
"Are they going to join another club? Are they going to retire completely? What’s the financial situation etc, etc?
"There’s a huge amount of factors that we don’t know yet".
