Leinster hold off on Montpellier trip as they await latest PCR tests

Tomorrow is D-Day for Leinster's hopes of playing in Montpellier as the Blues have put their trip to France on hold.

Leo Cullen's squad were due to fly out tomorrow afternoon ahead of Friday night's second round pool game (8pm Irish time).

But, with an unconfirmed number of positive Covid cases within their playing squad, Leinster have decided to wait on the latest round of PCR tests results before making their move.

Tournament organisers EPCR are currently happy for the game to proceed, but that could change if there are further positive tests in both camps - Montpellier are down five players due to Covid.

If the game does not go ahead, both sides could be awarded a point if an EPCR committee rule that one side wasn't to blame. However if it is decided one club is at fault, then it will forfeit the game 28-0.
