Johnny Sexton is nearing a return to action as Leinster prepare for their trip to Glasgow Warriors in the Rainbow Cup on Friday night.
Skipper Sexton hasn't played since he came off with a head injury in the Champions Cup quarter-final win over Exeter in April.
In an injury bulletin released by the province, it was stated that he will "continue to develop contact in training" and that he will be further assessed throughout the week.
If this week's game comes too early, he could return in what will be Leinster's final game of the season, in the home tie with the Dragons on Friday week, unless pace-setters Benetton trip up and other results go their way.
It's a similar scenario for scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park, who is expected to return to training this week after a spell out with a hamstring problem.

While Sexton will hope to prove his fitness ahead of Ireland's two July Tests against Japan and the US, and to be on standby for the Lions, Will Connors' season is over.
The flanker had surgery on a knee injury and is unavailable until pre-season.
Both Caelan Doris and Jimmy O'Brien came through the win over Ulster before Leinster's two week break from competitive action, after they had been sidelined.
