Leinster coach John Fogarty is 'a man in demand' admits Leo Cullen

Leo Cullen admits Leinster's forwards coach John Fogarty is "a man in demand" having been strongly linked with a move to Andy Farrell's new Ireland set-up after the World Cup.

Former Leinster and Ireland back Luke Fitzgerald had claimed the move was a done deal over the weekend but Cullen insisted that wasn't the case.

Cullen said: “I think John was disappointed, shall we say, with some of the comments that appeared during the weekend from certain people because they’re not necessarily accurate.

“From what I understand, in this scenario, there is interest in John because he’s very good at what he does.

“For a number of people across the organisation, when things go well, there’s interest from outside.

“He is a man in demand, I would say.  I can’t really go into a huge amount of detail about people’s individual cases because that’s their business.

“I enjoy the fact that people are even in consideration for other jobs because it means they're progressing well in what they're doing here.

“And that’s what we want to see, players and staff progress well. It creates some challenges, but I see it as a positive thing".
