Leinster and Munster players and staff cleared for training return after no positive tests for Covid-19

The IRFU has confirmed there were no positive results from its first phase of testing players and staff for coronavirus.

140 players and staff were tested on Wednesday 18th June in Leinster and Munster by Cork based company Advanced Medical Services on behalf of the IRFU.

The staff and players from both provinces are now allowed to return to their High Performance Centres starting from tomorrow.

The second phase of PCR testing will commence with players and staff from Connacht and Ulster later this week.

All four provinces are set to return to action at the Aviva Stadium on either 22 or 23 August as the Pro14 resumes behind closed doors.
