Leinster's Heineken Champions Cup clash with Montpellier has reportedly been called off.
EPCR, the tournament organisers, are yet to determine if the game is deemed a draw - with both clubs awarded two points - or if one of the clubs has forfeited the game, which would cost that club a 28-0 defeat.
Talks have been ongoing throughout the day regarding the viability of playing the match after both camps were hit by positive Covid cases this week.
Leinster were scheduled to make the trip to France tomorrow morning, having yesterday made the decision to postpone their flight.
It is believed that Montpellier have not had positive cases since Monday, but that is not the case for Leinster, who have had a number during the week on top of the known cases of three senior players, who picked up the virus last week.
However both clubs did announce matchday squads at noon today, with Leinster set to give Jamie Osborne a European debut from the start and with four other potential debutants on the bench.
French clubs are to meet EPCR this evening to determine whether their games in Britain or against British clubs can go ahead in the light of new French government legislation regarding travellers from Britain that comes into force at midnight on Friday.
