Celtic returned for pre-season training on Monday - and striker Leigh Griffiths was among the squad as he stepped up his return to top team action.
The Scotland striker hasn't featured for the Hoops since December after being given time off to deal with personal issues by former boss Brendan Rodgers.
Griffiths was back at Lennoxtown before the end of the season as he worked alone on his fitness to build-up for the new campaign.
And the 28-year-old handed Celtic fans a major boost as he was seen joining in with the first session back this morning.
Griffiths will challenge for a return to action with just Odsonne Edouard , Vakoun Bayo and Mikey Johnston as recognised strikers at Parkhead following the end of Timo Weah and Oliver Burke's loan deals.
Hoops boss Neil Lennon told Griffiths earlier this month it's time to pay back the club's support - and suggested his return will be like having a £6million striker arrive for free.
He said: “Leigh’s had the club’s full support throughout this, so it’s payback time for him.
“He’s good at what he does. He scores goals and we want to see him back doing what he does best.
“Leigh will be like a new signing. We could have a £6million striker on our hands for nothing."
Griffiths' return to action is good news for Scotland boss Steve Clarke too with crucial Euro qualifiers against Russia and Belgium coming up early in the new season.
Celtic return to action in less than a month with the Champions League qualifiers set to get underway early in July.
Neil Lennon's side will learn who they meet in the first qualifying round when the draw is held on Tuesday at 1.30pm.
