Leigh Griffiths insists no Rangers player would get in Celtic squad as he rubbishes Dave King claim

Celtic star Leigh Griffiths insists Celtic still have the best squad in Scotland and NO Rangers players would get near their starting eleven.

The Hoops frontman is confident his side will turn it around after a disappointing start to the season and reckons they can start that with three points against St Johnstone.

Rangers are currently 11 clear at the top of the Premiership, although Celtic do have two games in hand that are likely to be played in the New Year.

Hoops fans are growing frustrated at a season that has saw them crash out of the Europa League and Betfred Cup.

But when asked are Celtic still the best squad in the country, he told the Sunday Mail: “One million percent.

“I wouldn’t change anybody in our changing room for anyone else in Scotland.

“That’s my view on it and I think everybody else in here would feel the exact same way.

“But we need the results to start talking and hopefully that starts on Sunday.”

Former Rangers chairman Dave King has been speaking this week and insisted the Ibrox club could go on and dominate Scottish football.

But Griffiths wasn't having it and responded: “Listen, they can talk however they like. We keep everything in house.

“We know what we’re all about and if we keep doing our job, working hard in training, results will turn for us.

“We don’t listen to outside noise, it’s about what we do.

“And we want three points against St Johnstone on Sunday before moving on.”
