Leigh Griffiths gives Celtic boost as star declared 'fit' for Premiership clash with Kilmarnock

Celtic star Leigh Griffiths has handed Neil Lennon a huge fitness boost ahead of today's match against Kilmarnock after being declared fit - according to a report.

The striker has been a huge part of the resurgence in form that has seen the Hoops emphatically bounce back from their defeat to Rangers before the winter break.

Playing as part of a front two with Odsonne Edouard, Griffiths has looked like the player of old and grabbed four goals in the new 3-5-2 formation.

He missed the 1-1 draw in Copenhagen on Thursday due to a hamstring injury, but according to the Sun he trained yesterday and is available for selection for today's game against Kilmarnock at Parkhead.

The Hoops could be without captain and talisman Scott Brown after the midfielder suffered a calf strain in the Europa League.

Brown has been in superb form again this season as he continues to defy the ravages of old father time and maintain a standard of form that marks him out as one of the great Celtic captains.
