Dundee have made a shock loan move for Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths.
And it's thought the Parkhead striker is up for returning to Dens Park, 10 years after leaving the Dee for Wolves.
Griffiths is yet to make a competitive appearance for the Hoops this season despite Ange Postecoglou handing the striker a one-year contract extension weeks into his reign.
A return to Hibs has been floated in this window but Easter Road manager Jack Ross poured cold water on the notion of a player-plus-cash deal in exchange for Kevin Nisbet heading the other way.
Aberdeen were another name to be linked but Stephen Glass has opted to look elsewhere to boost his attacking options with Christian Ramirez, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, Austin Samuels and Marley Watkins all arriving in this window.
It leaves Griffiths with few options to leave the club as he struggles to get into the first team picture ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi, Odsonne Edouard and even Albian Ajeti.
But James McPake has now made an ambitious move for his former Hibees team-mate.
Griffiths played for the Dark Blues for two years between 2009 and 2011 before his move to Molineux.
