Leigh-Anne Pinnock in tears as she announces drastic career change after Little Mix

Leigh-Anne Pinnock is venturing out on a brand-new career after taking a break from music with Little Mix.

The mum-of-two, who was part of the girlband for over ten years after they won the X Factor back in 2011, is moving away from music in her new career venture and is instead set to focus on another role in the entertainment industry.

The Shout Out To My Ex hit-maker took to her Instagram on Thursday to share the exciting news that she is set to be the voice of Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid.

Leigh-Anne gushed about how proud she was to be able to finally reveal that she will be the one to read the iconic story for users of the audible app.

The excited star shared her career news alongside an image of her dressed as a sea goddess, as she announced: "I'm so excited to be narrating the original Hans Christian Andersen version of The Little Mermaid exclusively for @audible_uk.

"Dina Gregory is such an incredible storyteller; reading her adaptation truly made me feel seen in a story I've been so familiar with as a child.

"There are so many themes within this now iconic storyline that feel so familiar to my own life and so my narration was inspired by not only my experiences but also my culture, my heritage.

"My hope is that people like myself can see themselves in this story too and I've enjoyed retelling this tale to my own children already. I hope you all enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed narrating it."

Since announcing that her band Little Mix were taking a hiatus last year, and after the birth of her twins, Leigh-Anne and her footballer fiancé Andre Gray, 31, have invested in lucrative property.

At the beginning of the year, it was revealed that Leigh-Anne forked out nearly £1million on an old bicycle factory with plans to transform it into 48 flats.

She and footballer fiancé Andre could net millions in the process.

They hope their G&A Organisations Ltd property firm will really take off with the project at Wolverhampton’s old Eagle Works.

The pair have been laying foundations for their business for months by building a holiday let in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, destined for Airbnb, and plotting a luxury detached home in the Midlands.

The couple welcomed twins in August 2021 but hot property Leigh-Anne is plotting a solo comeback, along with her building business.
