Leif Davis signs new Leeds United contract

Leif Davis is the latest Leeds United player to commit his future to the club.

The Whites released the following statement this evening: “Leeds United are pleased to announce Leif Davis has today signed a new contract with the club.

“The left-back has agreed a new three-and-a-half year deal, committing his future at Elland Road until the summer of 2023.

“Davis joined the club from League Two side Morecambe in the summer of 2018 after catching the eye in the Shrimps’ academy.

“Following a series of impressive performances with Carlos Corberan’s under-23s side, which ultimately led to the team becoming Professional Development League champions, Davis went on to make his first team debut in the memorable 3-2 away victory against Aston Villa in December 2018.

“Davis made a further four first team appearances during the 2018/19 campaign, being involved in the matchday squad on a regular basis.

“This season Davis has made five appearances in all competitions, with his latest coming in Saturday's 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road.

“The 19-year-old joins fellow first team stars Luke Ayling, Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Mateusz Klich and Kalvin Phillips, who have all extended their stays with the club over recent months.”
