Leicester vs Man City betting tips: Back Pep Guardiola's side to silence Foxes at King Power Stadium

Manchester City have hit form a lot earlier than they did last season and, if anything, it could be argued that the international break came at the wrong time for Pep Guardiola's side who have recorded back-to-back 5-0 wins in their last two Premier League matches.

It remains unclear whether the visitors will be denied the services of Gabriel Jesus and Ederson by the Brazilian FA but City aren't exactly short on attacking options and they look set to be bolstered by the return of Kevin de Bruyne.

Unsurprisingly, City head to the King Power Stadium as red-hot 4/7 favourites to inflict defeat on a Leicester City side that has had a rather mixed start to the new season.

Despite taking six points, Brendan Rodgers' side have been outperformed on xG by all three opponents so far (even Norwich City), averaging just 0.95 xGF per game and if they can't find some improvement in the fluency of their attacks, they are going to be in trouble on Saturday.

City have continued where they left off last season in terms of defensive stability. Guardiola's side have given up just 0.51 xGA per game and that stat looks set to improve against a Leicester City side that have struggled to create big chances against lesser sides than City.

Manchester City won't be a bet for many at 4/7, unless they are an acca leg, but the formbook says they might be able to collect all three points without conceding, which makes the 37/20 about Man City to win to nil the play.

Leicester vs Man City Team News

Manchester City are expected to head to the King Power with virtually a fully squad to choose from. The obvious caveat is that an amicable resolution is reached with the Brazilian FA over Gabriel Jesus and Ederson.

Kevin de Bruyne is ready to return, although it looks as though he will start on the bench. Phil Foden is being given a little more time and isn't expected to to feature.

Leicester centre halves Jonny Evans and Jannik Vestergaard, who both featured in a training game last week, could be available for Brendan Rodgers.

Ryan Bertrand and Ricardo Pereira are also ready for a return but Wesley Fofana and James Justin remain unavailable.

Leicester vs Man City Stats

Leicester have only managed 23 shots so far this season, fewer than every other team bar Crystal Palace. To put into perspective, Liverpool have had 70.

Manchester City have had more touches of the football (2,519) than any other side so far this season.
