Leicester send Man Utd Harry Maguire transfer message as Red Devils consider bid

Harry Maguire is with the Leicester squad at Scunthorpe.

Reports emerged over the weekend that Manchester United had launched an £80m offer for the England defender.

Maguire has reportedly asked to leave Leicester but the Foxes maintain they haven't received a suitable bid for the defender.

And boss Brendan Rodgers Foxes included Maguire in the travelling party for tonight's friendly at Scunthorpe.

Rodgers sent out the clearest 'He's ours' message to the Premier League big guns by including Maguire at Glanford Park.

Maguire wasn't named in the starting line up for the friendly clash but was expected to get a 45 minute run out in the second half.

Fans waited for the Leicester team bus to arrive and chanted Maguire's name when he eventually appeared from inside.

“Tell Harry he's got to stay,” one yelled as Rodgers emerged from the bus before a selection of his big hitters who were out in force.

Jamie Vardy, new £40m man Youri Tielemans, £30m recruit from Newcastle Ayoze Perez and recent £8m signing James Justin all travelled.

Maguire will be sold if one of the big clubs comes up with the kind of cash Leicester are sticking out for, but until then, it's clearly a case of business as usual.
