James Maddison has worked his way up from the lower leagues to become a Premier League star.
The midfielder scored seven goals and provided seven assists in 35 Premier League appearances for the Foxes, in what was his first year in the top flight last season.
And he has been called up into the England senior squad for the first time too.
Maddison has worked his way through the leagues and even mentioned that rise when talking about his future recently.
He said: "I want to play at the highest level my ability will allow me to.
"I like to think I’ve my head screwed on with the transfers I’ve made. I’ve played League One, in Scotland, the Championship and the Premier League. I worked my way up."
Maddison was linked with Manchester United and Tottenham during the summer transfer window, with United taking a heavy interest in him.
But he stayed put, although the speculation will continue into January.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers was again asked about the player's future during his press conference ahead of the game against Tottenham this weekend.
As reported to Leicester Live , he said: "In a player’s career, there will always be that temptation.
"This is a club that doesn’t want to sell its best players, but of course, if there’s a valuation that is met, which meets what the club perceive the player to be worth, then there will be a discussion.
"But it’s not something we want to invite. James is very much a talented player for us.
"He still has lots of improvements to make as a young player.
"He, along with a number of young players, we want to keep here. But of course, I'm a realist as well.
"I understand how the market works. But it’s not something we would be looking to entertain."
