Leicester City have announced that Tuesday's EFL Cup tie against Southampton has been postponed, following the death of chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

The club confirmed on Sunday night that Srivaddhanaprabha was among five people killed when a helicopter crashed just outside the King Power stadium on Saturday evening.

The helicopter had taken off from the pitch following Leicester's 1-1 draw with West Ham and was due to take Srivaddhanaprabha to Luton airport, ahead of a flight back to his native Thailand.

No date for the rearranged cup tie has yet been confirmed, while Leicester's development squad fixture against Feyenoord in the Premier League International Cup has also been postponed.

In a statement confirming the deaths, the club also revealed details of a book of condolence which will be left at the stadium for fans to sign from 8am on Tuesday morning.

On Sunday, thousands of fans visited the ground, leaving shirts and flowers as they waited for news to emerge.
