The Leicester Mercury is backing a campaign to hire chefs to improve meals for children suffering from cancer at the city's main hospital. It is hoped to raise £300,000 to pay for two chefs plus new kitchens. The move follows complaints from parents that children undergoing chemotherapy often feel too poorly to eat after treatment, but later - when they need food - there is nothing available.
