Leicester in Odsonne Edouard transfer fee talks as Celtic star 'nears' Foxes switch

Celtic star Odsonne Edouard is close to completing a move to Leicester, according to a report.

The striker was signed by Brendan Rodgers at Celtic Park and could now join him again at the Foxes.

It comes within days fo the end of the Scottish Premiership campaign while Leicester are still chasing Champions League football after winning the FA Cup.

And talkSPORT say personal terms won’t be an issue but a fee still has to be agreed.

They say that it could cost Leicester between £15m and £20m to get the Frenchman south of the border.

It would be a huge blow to Celtic to lose Edouard but an early sale would give them plenty of time to get a replacement ahead of the Champions League qualifiers.

Edouard has finished as Premiership top scorer after netting 18 goals this season despite a poor campaign for the Celtic Park side.

He struggled with injuries and Covid-19 earlier in the season but bounced back to impress in the latter half of the campaign.

The 23-year-old would leave Celtic with 85 goals in 168 games in all competitions for the Hoops, including 64 in 112 league games.
