Leicester handed double injury boost ahead of Man City Premier League fixture

Leicester have been handed a double injury boost ahead of their visit to Manchester City this weekend.

That's because Timothy Castagne and Youri Tielemans both played for their nation Belgium on Sunday night.

The latter has become one of Brendan Rodgers' most important players in recent seasons and he delivered a strong performance in the Foxes' 1-0 win over City in the Community Shield at Wembley in early August, when Kelechi Iheanacho scored the winner.

Tielemans was initially unavailable for Belgium after he sustained an ankle knock, but he returned from his brief stint on the sidelines to get 80 minutes under his belt at the weekend, while fellow countryman and club teammate Castagne played the full 90 minutes.

That was just Castagne's second match since fracturing his eye socket in the summer as he seeks to return to full fitness.

Belgium have one more World Cup qualifier to play and Castagne and Tielemans are expected to feature against City at the Etihad.

Leicester became the first team to score five goals past one of Pep Guardiola's sides when the two teams met in Manchester in September last year and City will be hoping to atone for that heavy defeat, in which Jamie Vardy netted a hat-trick.

Rodgers' side also came out on top in the Community Shield, although the Blues did field a team containing multiple youngsters.
