Leicester fans react to the imminent signing of Newcastle United forward Ayoze Perez

Leicester City fans are excited about the prospect of seeing Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez in a Foxes shirt.

It emerged on Tuesday evening that the Magpies had agreed to sell the Spanish forward to Leicester City for £30million.

It means the 25-year-old will end his five year stay on Tyneside, should he agree personal terms and pass a medical with the Foxes.

His departure comes amid fury from Newcastle fans following manager Rafa Benitez's exit last week.

Yet, some Newcastle fans also feel £30million is a good deal for a player who has been inconsistent during his time at St James' Park.

Nonetheless, that hasn't deterred Leicester fans who are excited by the prospect of the former Tenerife forward lining up at the King Power Stadium.

Liam Brady tweeted: "Anyone else excited about the prospect of Ayoze Perez and Jamie Vardy playing off each other? BECAUSE I AM!"

'LCFC Foxes' added: "Would love to see him at Leicester. A really versatile, hard-working player. Imagine an attack of him, Maddison, Barnes and Vardy!"

And 'Shilly' continued: "Great signing. I'm not one for talking about cost, it's not my money but as a player I think he will fit perfectly. Good age too. Get it done."
