Leicester defender Harry Maguire praises Man City amid transfer speculation

Harry Maguire has praised Manchester City as he suggested England can benefit from the Blues' winning mentality as they go in pursuit of Nations League success this summer.

Raheem Sterling, Kyle Walker, John Stones and Fabian Delph have all been included in Gareth Southgate's squad for this summer's mini-tournament and linked up with the rest of the squad at St George's Park on Monday.

The quartet go into the semi-final against Netherlands on June 6 on the back of a trophy-laden season with City having won the FA and League Cups as well as the Premier League.

And Maguire is confident they will have a positive impact in Portugal next month.

"It's been a long time since we (England) have had a trophy," Maguire said.

"You want to be winners. We've got a lot of winners in our team - (as) you've seen with the Man City boys who have just turned up, and won three trophies this year.

"We have a lot of winning mentality in our team and hopefully we can transfer it to international football now."

Maguire has been linked with both City and Manchester United this summer but he refused to discuss his club future when pressed on the matter.

"When I am away with England I don’t think about anything to do with club football," Maguire said.

"As soon as I wear the badge my only focus is on England. I am fully focused on the two games coming up."
