Leicester City vs Manchester United prediction and odds - Back United to cash in on Leicester's problems

Check out our 13/5 Leicester City vs Manchester United prediction below

Manchester United haven't won three successive Premier League matches since November 2020 but the Reds are 21/20 chances with Betway to do exactly that when they travel to Leicester on Thursday night.

It wasn't pretty at times against Southampton on Saturday and United certainly rode their luck on occasions but it is very much to the player's credit that they were able to dig in and secure three points at St Mary's. Southampton are no pushovers at home - as Chelsea found out on Tuesday, so this was always going to be a tough game for United. The Saints have also already been to Leicester and won this season.

There is clearly still a long way to go for this team but the new signings have already made major difference - not least Lisandro Martinez, while the addition of Casimero, who must be pushing to start on Thursday, is a major upgrade to the defensive side of the midfield.

Some eyebrows were raised over Antony's transfer fee but there can be no doubt that he improves United's attacking options and that in itself is a major boost. This is a side still badly in need of a top class central striker but that didn't stop Manchester City winning the league last season and Ten Hag will surely be looking for major scoring contributions from all of his offensive players.

It's been a worrying start to the season for Leicester who sit bottom of the Premier League with just a single point to their name, earned on the opening day of the season against Brentford.

It's been a summer of discontent in the East Midlands side who have lost some of their bigger names, notably Kasper Schmeichel and Wesley Fofana - whose move to Chelsea is all but confirmed, while only bringing in two free transfers.

The Foxes have scored in every game so far despite relatively low xGF counts in each game prior to their 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge, where they actually looked more dangerous than in any of their previous three league fixtures.

Leicester City vs Manchester United prediction

Don't expect United to go to the King Power and dominate possession. Leicester have had the lion's share of the ball in three of their four games - including at Chelsea at the weekend (54%).

However, that isn't necessarily an issue for this United side, especially if the Casimero/Eriksen axis clicks into gear early. United have the offensive weaponry, especially in wide areas, to inflict major damage to Leicester on the break.

Leicester don't do clean sheets - they've already shipped ten in the Premier League, and United should be able to find a way through, although don't be surprised if the hosts find the net at some stage. This could be quite entertaining.
