Leicester City vs Chelsea
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: King Power Stadium
Date: Sunday, 12 May, 2019
Kick-off time: 3pm BST
Chelsea head to Leicester on the final day safe in the knowledge that they will be playing Champions League football next season.
The campaign has been an odd one for Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea: at times the coach's position appeared untenable, but the Italian has managed to seal Champions League qualification as well as guiding the Blues to a Europa League Final against Arsenal.
Chelsea need to match Tottenham's result against Everton in order to seal third place, though Leicester - resurgent under the guidance of Brendan Rodgers - will seek to end a difficult, traumatic season on a high and pay tribute to late owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha at the King Power.
Leicester vs Chelsea team news and predicted line-ups
Andreas Christensen is a doubt for Chelsea. The Denmark defender hobbled out of the Blues' Europa League semi-final second leg penalty shoot-out win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek should be available after coming off late on against Eintracht due to cramp. Eden Hazard should start in what could prove to be his final Premier League game, with a transfer to Real Madrid looking likely this summer.
Provisional Chelsea squad: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Emerson, Christensen, Luiz, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, Higuain, Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Barkley, Caballero, Zappacosta, Kovacic, Giroud, Alonso, Cahill.
Chelsea XI: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Alonso, Kovacic, Jorginho, Barkley, Pedro, Giroud, Hazard
As for Leicester, Rodgers' only injury absentee is Daniel Amartey (ankle).
Leicester XI: Schmeichel, Ricardo Pereira, Evans, Maguire, Chilwell, Albrighton, Tielemans, Ndidi, Choudhury, Maddison, Vardy
Score prediction: Leicester 2-2 Chelsea
Leicester can finish as high as eighth if results go their way on Sunday, but could slip as low as 11th by the end of play.
That should focus Rodgers' squad, but the match could end up being a shootout given that Chelsea have got a top four spot wrapped up.
If Leicester show some bite, they could well win with Chelsea players looking to avoid injuries ahead of the Europa League Final - but with starting spots still up for grabs, Sarri will want his squad to go out and prove themselves.
