Last season’s edition of this Midlands derby had real niggle so both sets of players will need to be ready to be plunged straight back into Premier League mode after the international breaks. Gökhan Inler’s performance for Switzerland against England in midweek may have convinced Claudio Ranieri that the midfielder is ready for his first start since joining in the summer, but the manager will mostly be looking for more of the same from a side who have made a strong start to the season. Villa will have to improve to avoid defeat. Paul Doyle
