Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers spotted in Co Antrim hometown enjoying local cafe

Premiership football manager Brendan Rodgers has been spotted enjoying a trip down the Co Antrim coast to his hometown.

The Leicester City boss was snapped posing with staff outside a coffee shop in Carnlough on Sunday.

Rodgers smiled with the local fans in front of Twilight Coffee & Bunkhouse, an independent coffee shop and accommodation site in the heart of the village.

Taking to Facebook to share the news of their famous visitor, the cafe said: "We love when Carnlough natives stop by during their visits back home!"

The former Celtic manager was born and raised in the seaside village with his family where he was the eldest of five boys and attending primary school before moving to St Patrick's College in Ballymena for secondary education.

He was also spotted in North Belfast at the weekend supporting the fonaCAB Development League games at Cliftonville's Solitude home on Saturday.

Rodgers was watching his nephew in action for Ardoyne in the grassroots league which involved 90 teams at Under 6 and 7 age levels.
