Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers delivers injury update ahead of Tottenham clash

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Leicester have a fully-fit squad to choose from against Tottenham this weekend.

There were question marks over the fitness of full-back Ben Chilwell, but the England international is expected to be fit for the match with Tottenham on Saturday.

Leicester boss Rodgers said: "He’s okay. He just had a bit of recovery inside. He worked inside, but he’s fine. Otherwise, we’ve got all players all fit and well."

Leicester have had a full of week of training ahead of the game at the King Power Stadium, that is the lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.

Tottenham, meanwhile, have head much less time to prepare for the clash because of their European commitments, returning to England late on Wednesday night following the 2-2 draw away at Olympiacos in the Champions League.

Speaking about that extra recovery time, Rodgers added: "It can help, but you have to make it happen, that’s important. Hopefully it happens to us here in future, that we have midweek games in Europe, and then Premier League games.

"It’s not easy, with all the travelling and the games, but they will bring a very, very top team.

"They have robust players, a good squad, where they can interchange and swap players, but we’ve had a great week’s training.

"We’ll finish our preparation off tomorrow and we’ll be ready."
