Full-time: Leicester City 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur
There’s the final whistle as Leicester City make it seven points through three games. An inspired start to their Premier League campaign.
90 min+3: Corner to Tottenham. Ball is played to Alderweireld, but the shot is deflected out for another corner. The second is easily cleared.
90 min+2: Free kick is played to an onrushing Kane, but he can’t put it on goal.
90 min: Four minutes of added time. Andy King shown yellow.
Updated
88 min: The teams trade possession in the middle third, neither appearing overly desperate for a winner.
86 min: Corner to Leicester City. Played into the box, initially headed out but quickly sent back in and a point-blank shot by Mahrez is saved by Lloris.
83 min: Writes Scott Kelly from Minnesota, via email:
THIS ISN’T A FOOTBALL TEAM IT’S AN EXPERIMENT ON HOW MUCH A CLUB CAN DISAPPOINT YOU AND YOU STILL SUPPORT IT.
GOAL! Leicester City 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Mahrez, 82 min)
And Mahrez hits back immediately with a left-footed thunderbolt into the back of the goal. Wow. Just wow. He’s now scored six goals in his last three Premier League appearances.
GOAL! Leicester City 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur (Alli, 81 min)
Three Spurs players darting downfield. Kane in the middle plays it left to Chaldi, who delivers a looping cross near the back post to the onrushing Alli, who heads it in.

76 min: Albrighton off, Kante on for Leicester as the late-match tinkering continues.
74 min: A second sub for Tottenham as Tom Carroll replaces Mousa Dembele.
73 min: Uninspired stuff from Tottenham here. But out of nowhere Kane makes a run onto a ball in the area and is cut down by Schlupp. Atkinson does not give a foul.
70 min: We’re a half hour into the second half and the temperature hasn’t really dropped, which means another water break.
68 min: Moments later a chance for Leicester City and Mahrez beats Lloris with a right-footed shot but hits the woodwork.
67 min: Flag up on Okazaki as he makes a run off a longball.
65 min: First sub of the match for Tottenham: Dele Alli on for Erik Lamela.
63 min: Wonderfully played ball in to Harry Kane from a deep-lying Mason but the youngster can’t seriously challenge Schmeichel with his shot.
62 min: Free kick outside the area given to Leicester City, but it’s quickly turned away.
60 min: A careless giveaway leads to an apparent chance for Leicester City, but Vardy is hacked down by Dier, who’s immediately shown yellow.
57 min: Tottenham a bit more assertive in attack here. Mason plays a short pass to Chadli, who turns, takes one dribble and fires a right-footed shot on goal. Not quite on target.
55 min: A nice ball into the area from Mahrez on the right flank falls to Drinkwater, whose shot on goal kids wide right.
53 min: Corner to Spurs here but a foul is whistled and Schmeichel will have a goal kick.
50 min: A high challenge by Dembélé, who’s on a yellow, is whistled by Atkinson but he escapes the book. Could have gone either way.
48 min: First chance of the second half goes to Tottenham and it is a good one. Ball in played into the area to Chaldi, who has a free shot from close range but misses the target completely.
46 min: We’re under way in the second half. Leicester City kick off and quickly move it down the pitch. Mahrez moves up the right flank and dumps a low-flying cross into the area, but it’s easily cleared.
Half-time: Leicester City 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur
And there’s the half-time whistle. Not much to write home about after 45 minutes, but it’s early.
45 min+1: Nearly a chance there for Leicester City but Mahrez can’t get a foot on it when it falls his way in the box. Moments later a corner to Tottenham on the other end of the pitch but it’s easily cleared.
45 min: Fourth official signals for two minutes of stoppage time.
43 min: (Replays confirm, yes, that really should have been a penalty.)
42 min: Mahrez hacked down in the box and the referee Martin Atkinson does not give the penalty! Scandal!
40 min: Ponderous stuff here at King Power Stadium.
37 min: Neither team staking a decisive advantage here. More midfield meandering.
34 min: A patch of aimless passing in the midfield in the moment, but now Leicester City is on the attack and it’s Vardy who crosses it dangerously into the box. Alas, it sails out wide.
31 min: Dier dispossessed in midfield and Leicester City moves quickly into the counterattack. Nothing immediately comes of it.
28 min: Schmeichel with the nice save on Dembélé’s shot from the edge of the area.
25 min: Corner to Spurs. Dier charges into the area unmarked and gets a head on the ball, but it sails over the crossbar.
22 min: Tottenham with a 65-35 edge in possession so far. Seems about right, but not at the moment as the teams jockey about midfield.
20 min: Another sustained Tottenham attack misfires. Now Leicester City working it up the pitch from the back.
17 min: Albright with a nice move past a defender into the area, where he uncorks a right-footed shot that just misses the frame. Leicester City looking dangerous here.
14 min: Lamela whistled for a foul on Schlupp. Didn’t seem like there was much contact there.
Updated
12 min: De Laet throw in leads to a scuffle in front of goal but Leicester City can’t direct a shot on goal.
10 min: Mahrez hacked down on the edge of the area and Leicester City will have a great chance here. Kick is taken and immediately deflected out for a corner.
8 min: Mousa Dembélé uncorks a shot from the top of the area but it’s struck directly Schmeichel and easily corralled. First shot on target today by either side.
6 min: Free kick awarded ro Leicester. It’s played short and they’re quickly dispossessed. Both teams probing early.
4 min: Bit of a rudderless start so far with both sides trading possession, feeling one another out.
2 min: Danny Drinkwater probably fortunate to avoid a booking there as he hacks down a Tottenham player in the midfield. Free kick attempt from distance is fruitless.
1 min: And we’re off! Spurs attacking from right to left, moving it up slowly from the back third.
Tale of the tape
Here’s a look at Paul Doyle’s match preview.
This week’s capture of the Swiss international Gokhan Inler for £5m added to the happy vibes that Leicester City have been emitting since their dashing start to the season under Claudio Ranieri. It will be interesting to whether Inler’s arrival will lead to the manager tinkering with a line-up that has recorded wins in their first two matches. Tottenham need to improve the support to Harry Kane and wring more resilience from a defence that folded late against Stoke last week if they are to stop Leicester making it three wins in a row.
