Leicester architectural practice appointed on £35m residential scheme

A Leicester architectural practice has been appointed as lead design for a new £35 million residential development in Kent.

InkDrawn will work on behalf of the developer, Kings Crescent Homes, to oversee the delivery of The Triangle, which includes 143 one, two and three-bed apartments.

The development is the first phase of a new masterplan for Ashford town centre that will eventually see the creation of some 400 homes and apartments on part of a former power generation site, overlooking the Great Stour river.

InkDrawn director Dan Nestoruk said: "This appointment marks our second major project in partnership with Kings Crescent Homes and we're excited to begin work on this landmark scheme."

Nick Harvey-Jones, co-founder of Kings Crescent Homes added: "We're extremely pleased to have acquired this site, which occupies a key strategic position in the town and is identified as an area of high growth.

"With excellent local connections and easily commutable to Central London, we're confident the mix of apartments at The Triangle will have widespread appeal.

"We hope to begin marketing homes in the second half of 2021 with the whole development, including the 257 apartments in phase two, complete by 2023."

Constructon The Triangle development is expected to start in mid-June.
