Legoland Resort Florida's new pirate-themed hotel has an opening date.
The 150-room Pirate Island Hotel will open its doors on April 17, the Winter Haven theme park said Thursday, which also happens to be International Talk Like A Pirate Day.
The 145-acre theme park released a series of pictures and a virtual fly-through of the hotel, which will be located right next to the park entrance.
The video shows off a series of shops, Smuggler's Bar, Shipwreck Restaurant, an outdoor pool and a stage that will host pirate-themed entertainment.
"The new hotel rooms will also be fully themed with interactive LEGO Pirate models throughout and include an array of humorous decor designed specifically for a kid-centric family vacation," the release reads.
The five-story hotel will be the third for Legoland, following the on-site Legoland hotel and Legoland Beach Retreat, which sits a few blocks away, across Cypress Gardens Boulevard on Lake Dexter.
The hotel will open just more than a year after the company debuted its Lego Movie World, an 80,000-square-foot tribute to the cinematic kids franchise.
That and the pirate hotel is contributing to the park's effort to make Legoland a multiday destination in Central Florida.
