Legoland Florida is now requiring visitors who are age 8 and older to wear a face covering while on rides and while inside all indoor areas at the Winter Haven theme park.
The change is in "accordance with emergency ordinance set forth by the city of Winter Haven," the attraction said. City commissioners voted Monday to require face coverings inside buildings, besides homes, where social distancing isn't possible.
Violators could be fined $150 by the city.
The theme park will provide masks _ including some in kid sizes _ for those who arrive without one.
Legoland Florida, including its water park, and the Pirate Island Hotel reopened June 1 with other coronavirus-inspired safety measures in place, including temperature screenings, physical distancing guides and enhanced cleaning procedures. The attractions had been closed since mid-March.
